7:45 AM - 5:30 PM	Family Trip - Historical Haddonfield, New Jersey - Family Trip - Historical Haddenfield, New Jersey The Clifton Historical Committee and the Clifton Recreation Department invites you to an exciting trip to historical Haddonfield, New Jersey in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the USA and the signing of our Declaration of Independence. The day will begin at the Indian King Tavern Museum where we will meet with the museum’s curator. The Indian King Tavern Museum is almost 300 years old and nestled on Kings Highway, the main street in historic Haddonfield. It is New Jersey’s first state-owned historic site (acquired in 1903) and it is where New Jersey completed its transition from colony to state. Next we will walk over to the British Chip Shop for a British lunch.   After lunch we will have some time to walk around the town to view some of the historic sculptures, shops and maybe catch a glimpse of New Jersey’s Dinosaur – Hadrosaurus that was first found in Haddonfield in 1858. The day will end at the Historical Society of Haddonfield, founded in 1914 and will include a presentation about the area and the time of the American Revolution. The cost is $75.00 per person and includes: transportation, entrance fee to both Indian Tavern Museum and the Historical Society of Haddonfield, and lunch (including tax and tip). Seating is limited.  Participants under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.  Bus departs from and returns to the Lester Herrschaft Center (Senior Center) parking lot located at Linzenbold Drive and Dog Pound Road on the City Hall Municipal Grounds -900 Clifton Ave. Register online or in person at City Hall in the Recreation Office, 900 Clifton Ave. 2nd floor.  In person you may pay by check, cash or credit card.  Registration closes on April 30th or earlier if all spots have been taken.
