July 1985 marked the first celebration and endorsement of National Parks and Recreation Month. Since then, parks and recreation agencies across the country engage with their community during the month of July each year.Join the Clifton Recreation Department and the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association (NJRPA) in July as we celebrate how Clifton is more vibrant, and more resilient because of parks and recreation. In addition, we are also celebrating July 15 as Parks and Recreation Professionals Day. In addition to the fun things Clifton Recreation Department has to offer this summer (go to www.cliftonrec.com), check out the fun activities that NJRPA has created to help celebrate Parks and Recreation Month this July: Play the Park and Rec Bingo Game. Play along and when you get a SINGLE BINGO (5 activities in a row, column or diagonally), take a photo of your card and send to info@njrpa.org to be entered into a weekly drawing for prizes.
