This version of Michael Alfano's polished cast aluminum sculpture was purchased in 2025. It measures 94 inches in height, 45 inches in depth and 24 inches in width. This piece was installed at Hird Park on June 18, 2026 as part of the park's renovation.
A professional sculptor for over twenty-five years, Michael Alfano, creates fine art bronzes and monumental works that are figurative-based, philosophical, and evocative. His work can be seen in galleries, parks, museums, and private collections worldwide.
Description:
A child’s face looking upward is both questioning and dreaming of a world to be. The form of the sculpture creates an airy, almost fragile, question mark spiraling skyward. The sculpture is paired with the quote by Colin Wilson, “Imagination should be used, not to escape reality, but to create it.”
