Register your sale at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall – 900 Clifton Avenue, 1st Floor. Registration must be done in person (no mail-in applications accepted). Payment in full must accompany the garage sale application. The fee is $25.00 (including the $10.00 City of Clifton Garage Sale Permit and the remaining $15.00 will go to the Clifton Heroes Parade Committee to help with the costs of the Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Parades). Make checks payable to the City of Clifton. No refunds. The registration deadline is June 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
This event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, it is your decision whether to have or to postpone the sale if the weather is questionable. Contact the City Clerk's Office for rescheduling at (973) 470-5825.
The Clifton Recreation Department will advertise the Community event in the classified section of the local newspaper and on social media. A list will be produced indicating all participating homes and will be available for distribution online at www.cliftonrec.com. The newspaper advertisement will not list individual addresses. Participant addresses will be listed on the Official Citywide Garage Sale Listing and grouped by the sections of Clifton (ex. Athenia, Montclair Heights, Botany, etc.) All City of Clifton rules governing conducting a garage sale must be followed.
