Open to participants ages 5-17, plus an Adult category (Clifton Residents Only).  The contest will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Main Memorial Park – 1395 Main Avenue.   The event is free of charge.  Pre-register online at www.cliftonrec.com. Registration deadline is 5/9/24. Fish must be caught by hook (no nets) and the hook must be in the fish’s mouth when presented for judging.  The final fish must be caught by 9:45 a.m. Awards will be issued for the Largest Fish and Most Fish Caught in various grade categories and for the top male and female winner for adults.

A fishing clinic will be conducted by GoGo Gomez on Thursday, April 25th.  Join us at the same pond for the Passaic County Fishing Derby on Saturday, September 28th. Registration information for both of these activities will be available at www.cliftonrec.com.

Health & Safety Requirements:
Face coverings are optional. Please be kind to those who choose to wear a mask.

Please stay home if you have any viral symptoms or have been exposed to the virus - self isolate.

In the event that the program is cancelled due to a health emergency, participants will receive a refund.

Hand sanitizer will be available at the event for use. Feel free to bring your own hand sanitizer.

Respiratory etiquette for coughing, sneezing and nose blowing will be encouraged at all times. Practice and encourage these health guidelines at home.

Be sure to thoroughly wash hands, for at least 20 seconds, when you return home.
